At Custom by Trade, we don’t just make branded merchandise—we craft moments, elevate experiences, and help the world’s most iconic brands leave lasting impressions. So when Louis Vuitton approached us with a request for something bold, unexpected, and fashion-forward, we saw the opportunity to bring something extraordinary to life.
The vision: a bespoke set of branded dice, designed for Paris Men’s Fashion Week. These weren’t meant to be novelties. They were conceived as refined, artistic statements—pieces that felt playful and timeless, but also carried the unmistakable sophistication of the Louis Vuitton brand. Our goal was to translate that essence into something small yet symbolic.
We began with a classic form: the six-sided die. But from the first sketch, we elevated every detail. The dice were cast in a smooth, ivory finish—elegant and understated—and each featured the iconic LV monogram engraved in a deep, rich brown. The tone was intentional: warm, earthy, and luxurious without relying on metallic flash. It called back to Louis Vuitton’s roots in leather goods, while still feeling modern and fashion-forward.
The result? A set of dice that felt weighty and deliberate. Each one fit perfectly in the hand—minimalist in design, but rich in presence. With a subtle contrast between the ivory base and brown engraving, they felt more like an heirloom than a giveaway. This was a piece designed to be held, admired, and remembered.
Once produced, the dice were carefully packed and shipped directly to Louis Vuitton’s team in Paris. While we weren’t privy to the final rollout—whether they were gifted to influencers, integrated into runway activations, or held for future use—we were honored to be trusted with their creation. The ask alone spoke volumes about LV’s creative thinking, and we were proud to be part of it.
For us, this project was more than production—it was a philosophy in action. It represented the very best of what we do at Custom by Trade: translating a brand’s identity into physical form, with detail, discipline, and a deep respect for the story behind it. We didn’t just engrave a logo—we built a feeling.
